<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing various pest damages in plant seeds or crops of agricultural plants. Ž<P>SOLUTION: There is provided the method for preventing insect damages, characterized by applying an insecticidal composition containing a compound represented by general formula (1) (wherein: A<SB>1</SB>, A<SB>2</SB>, A<SB>3</SB>, A<SB>4</SB>are each C, N or oxidized N; R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>are each independently H, 1 to 4C alkyl, 1 to 4C alkylcarbonyl; G<SB>1</SB>, G<SB>2</SB>are each independently O or S; X groups are identically or differently H, halogen, 1 to 3C alkyl, or trifluoromethyl; Q<SB>1</SB>is phenyl, pyridyl or the like which may be substituted; Q<SB>2</SB>is phenyl substituted with trifluoromethylthio or the like) as an active ingredient to plant seeds, or crops of agricultural plants.
