A broadcast reception apparatus includes a receiving portion receiving a broadcast signal, an automatic channel-addition portion additionally registering a receivable channel automatically, an input portion accepting instructions from a user, and a channel-registration canceling portion for canceling the registration of a channel, so commanded from the input portion, to be canceled as a receivable channel and for storing in a memory portion its channel information as the information of a canceled channel. When the same channel information as that of the unregistered channel is in the channel information stored in the memory portion, the automatic channel-addition portion does not register the unregistered channel as a receivable channel. |
