PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for playing a recorded material in an image display device are provided to enable a user to easily find a desired play location when watching a recorded material. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus and a method for playing a recorded material in an image display device comprise the following steps. At least one bookmark is selected from a user while playing recorded materials stored in internal and external memories. One or more bookmarks which are selected are stored. If a play request of the recorded material is generated from a user, a recorded material is played from the bookmarked point of time. |
