<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which is advantageous in restraining a surge phenomenon when a flow rate of oxidizer gas supplied to a fuel cell is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system has a fuel passage 2 for flowing a fuel supplied to a fuel electrode 11 of the fuel cell 1, an oxidizer passage 3 for supplying the oxidizer gas to an oxidizer electrode 12 of the fuel cell 1, and a centrifugal compressor 4 arranged at an upstream of the fuel cell 1 in the oxidizer passage 3. A centrifugal type gas conveying source 4 has a housing 40 having a suction chamber 404, a discharge chamber 405, and an intermediate passage 406, an impeller section 42 rotatably arranged on the suction chamber 404 of the housing 40 and having an impeller blade 43 for flowing the oxidizer gas sucked from the suction chamber 404 accompanied by rotation in the centrifugal direction, a drive section 45 for rotating the impeller section 42, an oscillating blade 46 arranged in an intermediate passage 406 which can switch a position between the position along an outer periphery 42a of the impeller section 42 and the position along the radial direction of the impeller section 42, and a blade drive section 5 for oscillating the oscillating blade 46. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
