<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst layer of a fuel cell electrode operable at high temperatures without being humidified, and a membrane electrode composite including the fuel cell electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst layer 24 of the fuel cell electrode 20 formed opposedly to an electrolyte membrane 10 has a catalyst comprising a combination of platinum, a platinum alloy, and carbon or an electrically conductive material, a binder comprising phosphoric acid acting in proton movement within the catalyst layer and at least one triazole modified polymer, and further an organosiloxane cross-linking agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
