COMPOSITE MOLDED PRODUCT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite molded product which achieves a thin wall thickness and lightness, gives high rigidity and good appearance and is suitable for applications wherein these characteristics are required. SOLUTION: The composite molded product is characterized by being manufactured as follows. The thermoplastic resin 3 is joined to at least part of the periphery of the laminated plate 2 consisting of a sandwich structure formed by interposing the compressed soft member layer 2b between a pair of the rigid member layers 2a; for the rigid member layer of one side located in the periphery there is provided a thin plate portion so compressed and deformed as for the thickness of the soft member layer to be left; and the thermoplastic resin is fitted in into the soft member layer of the thin plate portion.
