<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically adjust the slew-rate of an output buffer without considerably expanding a chip area. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor device includes an output buffer 100 capable of adjusting impedance on the basis of impedance adjusting signals ZQP, ZQN and a slew-rate control circuit 400 for adjusting a slew rate of the output buffer 100 on the basis of the impedance adjusting signals ZQP, ZQN. The slew-rate control circuit 400 sets the slew rate relatively high when the impedance adjusting signal ZQP, ZQN designates relatively low impedance, and sets the slew rate relatively low when the impedance adjusting signal ZQP, ZQN designates relatively high impedance.
