<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting width ruler for an electric circular saw which cuts even a thin sheet material without falling in a gap between a guide bar and a body for a cutting width. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cutting width ruler is used when a plate material is cut at a prescribed cutting width by the electric circular saw while the base of the electric circular saw is fixed. The ruler includes: the ruler body 7 provided with a guiding face slidable on the side of a plate material 66 on the inner side face; and a guide bar 3 provided with a reversing part 35 the proximal end of which is attached to the outer side face of the ruler body 7 and which extends from the proximal end to the outside to reverse the distal end so that the distal end is extended to further inside than the ruler body 7. The guide bar 3 includes an adjusting part 36 which rotates the ruler body 7 upward so that the ruler body is reversed while rotating the distal end up and down as the distal end approaches the ruler body 7 from the reversing part 35.
