The method involves directly applying a sealing profile (1) on a coated i.e. painted, surface (3) of a component (4) i.e. motor vehicle door, under utilization of a robotically guided extrusion tool (2) by co-extrusion of different materials on the surface. A base region and a head region of the profile are produced by the co-extrusion of the materials, where a material of the base region contains adhesive components of a two-phase-adhesive in an encapsulated form. The profile is sectionally coated with a slip additive.
