<p>A turret tool post having a means capable of easily preventing a turret from being freely rotated unnecessarily. When a linear motion shaft is moved to the turret head section side by the driving of a servo-motor, a movable coupling element provided to the turret starts to release from a fixed coupling element secured to a support base. The clutch teeth of a clutch member are engaged with clutch teeth while the movable coupling element still holds the state of engagement with the fixed coupling element. Consequently, even if the movable coupling element is not engaged with the fixed coupling element, the turret is prevented from being freely rotated by the engagement of the clutch teeth with the clutch teeth.</p> |
