The cover part comprises a functional area (3.2,3.3) and a non-functional area (3.1). A carrier (1), an external layer (2) and an intermediate carrier are provided, where a foam layer is arranged on the external layer. The foam layer is built in the functional area partially from a material, which has more stability or rigidity than the material, from which the foam layer is built in the non-functional area. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a cover part for interior of a vehicle, particularly a passenger car.
