METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING REFERENCE SIGNAL IN MULTIPLE ANTENNA SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a reference signal in a multiple antenna system is provided to transmit a plurality of streams by increasing the number of stream which can be transmitted without increasing reference signal overhead. CONSTITUTION: A base station(BS) transmits a first reference signal and a second reference signal with a terminal(UE) using the same radio resource(S110). A first reference signal for the first stream is transmitted through antenna. A second reference signal for the second stream is transmitted through the second antenna. The first reference signal uses the first sequence. The second reference signal uses the second sequence. The terminal estimates channel using the first reference signal and the second reference signal(S120).
