<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag deployment control device, and an airbag deployment control method capable of controlling the deployment of an airbag according to a collision mode in a collision in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag deployment control device comprises first and second acceleration detection means (15, 16) which are arranged on the right and left sides forward of a vehicle to detect the longitudinal acceleration on the right and left sides, right and left airbags (11, 12) to be respectively deployed to right and left sides in a cabin, and an airbag deployment control means to deploy the airbag on the side of the higher longitudinal acceleration out of the right and left airbags when the difference between the right and left longitudinal accelerations detected by the first and second acceleration detection means is not less than a predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
