<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the service life of an application device by reducing standby power and preventing the sneak path of power between inner circuit devices and to quickly start and restore the device from a standby state. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with: an image processing part constituted of a system controller ASIC A1 for processing image information, a CPU A2, a ROM/RAM A3, a reset IC A5, and a pull-up resistor A6; an image forming part constituted of an engine controller SIC B2 for controlling a printer, a scanner, etc., a CPU B1, and a ROM/RAM B3; and regulators C1 to C5 for controlling power supply from a power supply unit C0 to respective parts. The ASIC A1 controls: respective regulators C1 to C5: start, standby and restoration; high impedance to an output part of an I/O interface in a connected I/O device; and through current prevention in a part including the input of the I/O interface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
