<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge a bullet by lighter operation even if a toy gun is a toy gun using a strong spring or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This compression pump type toy gun has a piston cylinder mechanism, and a shear member retaining a piston that is in a cocking state and releasing the retaining by pulling operation of a trigger. An intermediate member 25 is provided in a gun body 11 such that the intermediate member 25 is positioned in a different position by the pulling operation of the trigger 33, and the shear member 23 is installed to the intermediate member 25. In a state that the trigger 33 is not pulled, the intermediate member 25 is supported in a certain position, and the shear member 23 retains the piston 15.
