<p>An ornament is made from a moulding material incorporating cremation ashes of a deceased person or pet and has a shape appropriate to a memory of the deceased, or reflects some particular characteristic of the deceased. The ornament is thus a permanent and resilient approach to preserving the ashes while providing a lasting memorial. A method for making the ornament involves mixing cremation ashes of the deceased with a moulding material to form a mixture, adding the mixture to a mould by pouring or pressing and allowing the mixture to set or cure. The finished ornament is then released from the mould. The moulding material may be clay, plaster or concrete. A coloured or pigmented material may also be incorporated.</p> |
