<p>A method of subjecting a flowable suspension comprising biogenic material to a temperature hydrolysis by passing it successively through a first downward conduit section, a first connecting conduit section (10) which connects the outlet of the first downward conduit section with the inlet of a second downward conduit section, and the second downward conduit section, wherein part of the first connecting conduit section (10) is formed by a first upward part (14) through which the suspension is passed.
