For operating a switch 17 in response to a transducer 1 it is actuated by alternate on/off members 11, 12 rotated by an electric motor 15 which is energized via a pair of change over switches 3, 4, 5 and 6, 7, 8, the first of which is controlled by the transducer and the second by members 10 disposed between the on/off actuators. The arrangement is such that, when 3, 4, 5 changes over the motor runs to cause one on or off operation of 17, after which a member 10 changes over 6, 7, 8 to stop the motor. As shown the transducer 1 is a photo-conductive cell and switch 17 controls lighting circuits, but it is mentioned that the transducer may be thermo-conductive or a tuned oscillator responsive to radio, telegraph or line ripple signals. The switch 3, 4, 5 is shown as thermally operated but it may be electromagnetic. The motor is a synchronous one.</p> |
