<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make plural colored patterned layers nearly uniform in thickness and to ensure superior flatness by disposing a transparent patterned layer using a transparent inorganic pigment on or under a thin colored patterned layer. SOLUTION: A black matrix layer 13BK, a colored patterned layer 12 and an overcoat layer 17 are formed on a front lass substrate 11. The colored patterned layer 12 consists essentially of blue, green and red colored patterned layers 12B, 12G, 12R and a transparent patterned layer 12T. Since the red patterned layer 12R is thinner than the other colored patterned layers 12B, 12G, the transparent patterned layer 12T is disposed on the red patterned layer 12R so that the total thickness is made nearly equal to the thickness of the other colored patterned layers. A colored composition for forming each of the colored patterned layers and a transparent composition for forming the transparent patterned layer consist essentially of a resin binder, a solvent and a pigment.</p> |
