Cataract surgery microscopy system comprises a microscopy optics for producing an image (58) of the object plane of the microscopy optics and a pattern generator for generating a pattern that is superimposed on the image, whereby the pattern generator is configured to produce a circular pattern (71, 65, 77, 54) with an adjustable diameter. An Independent claim is made for a method for pre-preparation for a cataract operation involving the generation of a microscopic image of the eye to be operated on and blending in of ring pattern into the image. |
