<p>Water treatment method comprises passing water through a membrane filtration system having a membrane filter (1) and filtering out particles that are larger than the pores of the membrane filter. The system in the direction of water flow, exhibits an upstream water treatment device (3) and a downstream device that has an equivalent effect of the water treatment device. In the water treatment device, by the introduction of metal ions in the water, the chalk dissolved in water is transformed partially to calcium carbonate particle, preferably predominantly in the aragonite-form. An independent claim is included for a device for treating water comprising the membrane filtration system. Metal ions, preferably zinc ions are added to water.</p> |
