PURPOSE: A remote meter reading system is provided to reduce work load in a remote meter reading system by transmitting data generated in a parent measuring instrument and a child measuring instrument to a remote meter reading server. CONSTITUTION: A meter(720) transmits measured power usage amount to a remote meter reading modem(1). The meter includes an electronic and a semi-electronic meter. The remote meter reading modem transmits reading data to a remote meter reading server(100) through a communications network(200). The remote meter reading server classifies home-based power usage amount information according to an ID.
