<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present information by which a user canto perform a photographing under better photographic conditions. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The photographing apparatus includes: a landmark information storage unit 24 for storing identification information of a landmark and position information including height information; a photographic unit 80 for photographing a subject; a position-determining unit 32 for detecting position information, indicating the position of the photographing unit 80; a direction determining unit 34 for detecting the direction information indicating a photographing direction; the position determining unit 32 for detecting the height information indicating the photographic height; a photographing determining unit 36 for determining whether the landmark identified from the identification information stored in the landmark information storage unit 24 can be photographed, by comparing landmark information 66, stored in the landmark information storage unit 24, with the position information, directional information and the height information of the photographing unit 80; and an output control unit 50 for outputting the landmark information 66 of the land mark which is determined as being capable of being photographed.
