<p>A portable domestic waste processor which is powered primarily by a photovoltaic solar power system with a backup pressure retarded osmosis system comprises a heating and steaming chamber, a shredding chamber, a compression chamber and a cooling chamber wherein all the chambers are linked by a shoot. The processor is used to crush and compact thermoplastics, tin cans, paper and glass prior to treatment at a large scale recycling plant. The domestic waste is processed via the four chambers process where each chamber completes a computer programmed driven recycling cycle. Each cycle is set to a pre-programmed duration and is specific to the type of domestic waste. The recycling system completes the domestic waste processing by heating to defined temperatures, steaming, shredding, hydraulic assisted compression and air assisted cooling prior to collection in the colour coded containers and liners.</p> |
