<p>Apparatus for cutting rubber sheets supplied by rollers, and for supplying the sheets via a conveyor belt to a grating in a water spraying cooling system is characterised by having cutting blades (7) on a roller, the blades being adjustable in width, and pressed by springs (8) aainst the sheet (11) running with the roller (5), and placed at the end of the conveyor belt (6) directed towards the rollers (4, 5), while a throw off blade (9) parallel with the centre line of the roller under the pressure of springs (10) is placed at the same end of the conveyor belt over the same width as the roller mounted cutting blades (7). The operation of the cutting blades, throw off blade and conveyor belt are closely co-ordinated, and automatically controlled, thus facilitating the production of cut rubber sheet. The system is relatively simple and inexpensive.</p> |
