The invention relates to a flood prevention system comprising a water balloon management system. The system preferably contains several rotating cartridges holding within them cassettes filled with tightly packed balloons. The cartridges preferably rotate within the apparatus, engaging, re-loading and rotating within the rack to be repeatedly re-engaged with the series of water pipes (7 figure 4) connected to a main chamber. Once the series of water pipes are engaged with the individual water balloon cassettes loaded in front of them, the balloons held within the cassettes are pumped with an air 5a and water 5b mixture. Once the balloons have been filled with water, the balloons may automatically fastened securely by a clip device and then automatically detached from the main apparatus and floated into the river. The floating water balloons travel down to the river end which is free from flooding where they are pierced by in-built piercing devices (15 figure 6). Alternatively, the balloon material may biodegradable and it will decompose with time. |
