ELECTRIC BULB USING EXTERNAL ELECTRODE FLUORESCENT LAMP

PURPOSE: An electric bulb using an external electrode fluorescent lamp is provided to minimize maintenance cost by using a convention device without change and reducing power consumption. CONSTITUTION: An external electrode fluorescent lamp(10) comprises a first external electrode and a second external electrode which are formed on a first and a second end of a discharge tube. A printed circuit board(20) is electrically connected to the first external electrode and the second external electrode. A base(30) is inserted into a fluorescent lamp socket and is electrically connected to the printed circuit board. A lower protecting case(40) supports the printed circuit board. A globe(50) protects the external electrode fluorescent lamp.
