[Also in Divisions F2 and G2] An audiovisual record unit for use in the viewer of Specification 1,174,663, comprises a frame 12 supporting a photographic transparency 16 and carrying a relatively rotatable translucent sound record 14 at least partially overlying the transparency. As shown, stereoscopic transparency pairs are mounted in a laminated aluminium and paper disc 12 to which is rotatably riveted (see Division F2) a clear vinyl disc 14 carrying horizontally or vertically modulated record bands separated by continuous grooves 20. The record 14 is recessed 34 in ratchet fashion to co-operate with a drive hub 36, while the frame 12 has peripheral notches 18 engageable by an advance mechanism in the viewer.
