PURPOSE: A display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to display a good image in a particular scope with contrast ratio of 10:1. CONSTITUTION: A display device and a manufacturing method thereof include a switching element(90), a pixel electrode(50), a capacitor line(45), a first capacitor electrode(40), and a second capacitor electrode(41). The switching element is formed on a first substrate. The pixel electrode is formed on the first substrate and includes a first unit(50A), a second unit(50B), and a connection unit(50C) between the first unit and the second unit. The capacitor line is formed on the first substrate and passes by the lower part of the connection unit. The first capacitor electrode is formed on the first substrate and overlaps with the pixel electrode. The second capacitor electrode is formed on the first substrate, overlaps with the first capacitor electrode, and is electrically connected with the capacitor line. |
