FIELD: transportation. ^ SUBSTANCE: roller includes axis of rotation and sealed surface of cylinder-shaped roller. Roller's plane of symmetry is located at right angle to roller's axis of rotation. On the surface of roller the elements acting on processed surface are placed discretely and regularly. The elements are formed by butt ends of hollow tubes rigidly fixed by one end on support tube connected with roller's axle which tubes are radially directed and rigidly connected with each other together with device placed at free butt end of each tube. The device contains operating element acting on processed surface. This element is made for example as spring-loaded wedge and compactor. Operating element is mounted with possibility of limited linear movement along axis of hollow tube. At the opposite fixed butt end in cavity of each tube, absorbing frontal cushion, e.g. of rubber, is fixed. Hammer is placed inside each hollow tube. Hollow tube and hammer located inside it are made with possibility of temporary fixing the hammer in hollow tube and release of the hammer. The hammer temporary fixing in the hollow tube is fulfilled in the area adjacent to absorbing frontal cushion. Release of the hammer from fixing occurs in its upper position when roller is rotating and with possibility of its free drop inside tube and blow at rear part of operating element. ^ EFFECT: improvement of roller operation efficiency. ^ 8 dwg
