PURPOSE: An operation method and system for a vehicle changing an operation mode by a geographic location is provided to control the features including a waste gas, and to reduce environmental impact by an operation of the vehicle in an environmentally sensitive region. CONSTITUTION: An operation method for a vehicle changing an operation mode comprises the steps of: making rules of a first area with a first related feature, and a second area with a second related feature differ from the first feature(100,110); transferring an operation mode of a vehicle from a first operation mode of the first area to a second operation mode of the second area while the vehicle is moving from the first area to the second area(120); providing a dynamic rule of a boundary for the first area by the reference of a day, a week, and a year; and dynamically restricting the first area with the reference of an environmental indicator corresponding to the first area.
