<p>Pure isomers of naphthoylene-bis-benzimidazoles. Cpds. are prepd. by condensing naphthalene-1,4,5,8-tetracarboxylic acid or the anhydride with opt. substd. 1,2-diaminobenzenes in low boiling alcohols at 120-180 degrees C under pressure, converting the isomer mixture formed to the alkali addition cpds. by treatment with alkalis, and separating these from one another by filtration.</p> |
