PURPOSE: A curtain air bag for a vehicle is provided to inflate the cushion normally regardless of gas temperature as the sewn part is torn when the internal pressure exceeds the designated level. CONSTITUTION: A curtain air bag for a vehicle comprises an inflator(40), a cushion(30), and a gas flow regulating unit. The cushion is inflated as compressed gas spouting from the inflator flows in through a fill hose(20). The cushion includes active sections(30a) which are expanded by the compressed gas, and inactive sections(30b) which are isolated from the gas. The gas flow regulating unit is formed by the active section between the inactive sections to block the gas flow, and allows for the gas flow when the gas pressure is over the designated level. |
