The invention relates to a floor panel provided for covering a floor; on the first pair of sides (2-3), the panel (1) has at least the following additional characteristics: the coupling parts (4-5) are provided with integrated mechanical locking means (6) preventing the drifting apart of two such floor panels (1) in a direction (D) perpendicular to the opposite sides (2-3) and parallel to the lower side (7) of the coupled floor panels (1); the coupling parts (4-5) ensure a play-free interlocking, according to all directions, in the plane which is located perpendicular to the corresponding edges; the coupling parts (4-5) and the integrated mechanical locking means (6) are manufactured in one piece with a core (8); the lower lip (23;43) extends beyond an upper lip (22; 42); the locking means (6) are formed of at least one portion which is located in the portion of the lower lip (23; 43) extending outside the upper lip (22; 42), and the coupling parts (4-5) and the locking means (6) allow that two such panels (1) be engaged by means of a turning movement; on the second pair of sides (26-27), the panel (1) has at least the following characteristics: the coupling parts (28-29) are provided with other locking means (30), and the coupling parts (28-29) and the locking means (30) allow the engagement and the interlocking by means of a lateral translation movement of two such panels, wherein the coupling parts (28, 29) fit into one another by means of a snap-together connection. |
