Disclosed is a method for producing a stabilized immune cell culture, said method comprising the steps: -Providing a hematopoietic stem cell and/or a hematopoietic precurs or cell of said immune cell with a nucleic acid sequence which, when present and expressed in said immune cell, is capable of stabilizing said immune cell; -Providing a non-human animal with said hematopoietic stem cell and/or hematopoietic precursor cell; -Allowing generation of said immune cell in said animal; -Obtaining said immune cell; and -Culturing said immune cell ex-vivo after it has been obtained from said animal, wherein expression of said nucleic acid is at least in part inhibited during in-vivo differentiation of said stem cell and/or precursor cell into said immune cell and wherein expression of said nucleic acid is at least in part induced during the ex-vivo culturing of the immune cells, thereby stabilizing the immune cells, and wherein said hematopoietic stem cell is not obtained from a human embryo.
