The method involves electrically connecting a super capacitor pack (18) to a supply network (14) for providing excess electrical energy to an electric starter (12). The super capacitor pack is electrically disconnected from the network. The electrical energy for starter is supplied from the network connected to an electrochemical battery (16) i.e. lead storage battery, for starting a heat engine (4). The electrical connection of the super capacitor pack is triggered in response to a charge of an information transmission network between an electronic control unit and sensors in a vehicle (2). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an information recording medium comprising instructions for implementing a heat engine starting method (2) a device for starting a heat engine comprising an on-off switch.
