PURPOSE: A text data compressing method is provided to compress a text without increasing of system processing load. CONSTITUTION: A language kind of a stored text is determined(101). If the stored text is written in Korean, two bytes are read out(103). If the stored text is written in English, one byte is read out(105). The number corresponding to a character corresponding to read-out some byte of text data is searched from pre-stored database(107). The searched number is transformed to at least one bit(109).
