PURPOSE: An operating device for a cord reel of a vacuum cleaner is provided to operate a cord reel by transferring pressing force to an operating lever. CONSTITUTION: An operating device for a cord reel of a vacuum cleaner comprises inner and outer cord reel members(340,320). The inner cord reel member is installed in one side of a main body, and selectively operates an operating lever(360) of a cord reel(400). The outer cord reel member is installed in one side of a cover which shields the main body. And the outer cord reel member selectively operates the inner cord reel member.
