PURPOSE: A method for controlling a mobile terminal with at least two display areas is provided to control at least one display area according to the types of inputted control signal. CONSTITUTION: When a gyro signal is generated from a gyro sensor(142), a control unit(180) senses the motion type of a mobile terminal. The control unit selects the display area corresponding to the sensed motion type among the display areas, and generates the vibration to the selected display area. The control unit displays an indicator icon in the selected display region, and changes at lease one of the brightness, clearness and color on the display area.
