PURPOSE: A composition having anti-bacterial and anti-viral activity is provided to use in veterinary medicinal composition and feed supplement. CONSTITUTION: A veterinary medicine composition for preventing and treating porcine respiratory or digestive disease contains 0.1-50 weight% of Rubi Fructus, Galla Rhois, Acanthopanacis Cortex and Paeoniae Radix. The extract is isolated using water, low alcohol of C1-C4, or their mixture solvent. The animal feed additive for preventing and treating porcine respiratory or digestive diseases contains the Rubi Fructus, Galla Rhois, Acanthopanacis Cortex and Paeoniae Radix.
