The system has a preheating system for raising the temperature of a fuel cell (1) and a reformate producing device (3) during starting a motor vehicle. A battery charger is connected to an external power supply by a connection for supplying energy to the preheating system to preserve the storage of energy in the vehicle. The preheating unit has an electric resistor (10a) mounted in the device and in a cooling circuit (1d) of the fuel cell. An electronic controlling unit triggers the preheating system after receiving a remote signal at a stored time. An independent claim is also included for a method for managing a fuel cell system. |
