PURPOSE: A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided to compensate for a lost wall charge of a non-emitting cell by sufficiently forming a wall charge on an X electrode and a Y electrode of all cells for a preset period. CONSTITUTION: Voltages of a plurality of X electrodes are decreased from a first voltage to a second voltage for a reset period of one subfield among a plurality of sub fields(SF1,SF2). A third voltage is successively applied to the plurality of X electrodes for an address period of at least one sub field. A fourth voltage higher than the third voltage is applied to the X electrode to which the third voltage is not applied for the address period. For a sustain period of at least one sub field, a plurality of sustain pulses with a first high level voltage and a first low level voltage are applied to the plurality of first electrodes. For the sustain period, a plurality of second sustain pulses with a second high level voltage and a second low level voltage are applied to the plurality of Y electrodes(Y) with an opposite phase to the first sustain pulses.
