<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas circuit breaker in which an elapsed time between Closing and Opening operations thereof can be shortened while taking into consideration the cooling time of a closing resistor. <P>SOLUTION: A calculation part 15 is provided to manage a calculation temperature T1 during elevation and a calculation temperature T3 during cooling based on an upper-limit allowable temperature threshold Tu and a lower-limit allowable temperature threshold Td which are set in advance. When reaching the upper-limit allowable temperature threshold Tu at a time t2 after closing a resistance contact 8 as shown by a temperature characteristic curve C is calculated and detected from the calculation temperature T1 during elevation, a closing chain lock signal is given to a control circuit 14 from the calculation part 15 to delay the cooling time of the closing resistor 7, and next, the calculation temperature T3 of the closing resistor 7 during cooling is monitored. When it is detected that the temperature during cooling reaches the lower limit allowable temperature threshold Td at a time t7, the closing chain lock signal is so released as to give a closing operation demand to a controller 13 from a control circuit 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
