<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer an alternative to a bidder who has not made a successful bid for an article for sale before the bidder loses his or her interest in purchase. <P>SOLUTION: The auction device 30 puts a predetermined article for sale up for auction. This auction device 30 is provided with: a session information table 32 for holding session ID issued to a bidder terminal 10 and the result of the successful bid of the bidder terminal 10 in association with each other while the session ID is valid; a specification part 42 for, when the article for sale is sold, specifying the bidder terminal 10 which has not made a successful bid for the article for sale and is logging in to the auction by referring to the session information table 32; and an alternative information providing part 48 for giving alternative information which offers an alternative to the bidder terminal 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
