PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporator for operational medium which is used for operating the steam circulation process, compact and expanded/contracted, and adaptable to a predetermined vehicle. SOLUTION: The evaporator comprises: an operational medium inlet part 1; a heat exchanger part 2; and a steam collection part 3 for the evaporated operational medium. These parts are formed as laminate bodies with a large number of plates 4.1-4.q connected through the material coupling having through-holes 5.1-5.n. A first passage system for guiding a heat transfer medium and a second passage system for guiding the operational medium which is hydraulically separated from the first passage system are provided in the heat exchanger part.
