EFFICIENT PERMANENT MAGNET MOTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient permanent magnet motor having compatibility with existing induction motors by making the center height of its rotating shaft equal to that of an induction motor of the same rated output. SOLUTION: The permanent magnet motor 1 includes: a stator 3 having a stator core 8 and an exciting coil 9 wound on the stator core 8; and a rotor 4 opposed to the stator 3 with a predetermined gap in-between and having a rotor core 13 supported on a rotating shaft 6 and multiple permanent magnets 15 formed in the rotor core 13. The center height C of its rotating shaft 6 for rated output is so set that it agrees with the center height of the rotating shaft of a standardized induction motor for rated output.
