PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored resin fine particle that has high insulation resistance and high electrification properties and is excellent in the degree of pigmentation. SOLUTION: The chargeable colored resin fine particle is produced by swelling a seed particle with an emulsion containing a monomer mixture including a high Tg monomer having a Tg as a homopolymer of not less than 120°C and an oil-soluble polymerization initiator and then subjecting the seed particle to seed polymerization in a single step or through multiple steps wherein it is produced by using a colored monodisperse resin fine particle produced by aggregating a pigment on a porous monodisperse resin fine particle as a seed particle in the first step.
