PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine can suppress the deterioration of the taste of a game by executing a variable display of symbols which prevents a player from diminishing his/her expectation to a win game state. SOLUTION: In a "slide performance" in a "consecutive variation", a right decoration symbol 202c may possibly be shifted to either direction from a temporally stopped symbol the same as a left decoration symbol 202a by "symbol sliding" or "symbol sliding-return" based on a right symbol pattern in the consecutive variation despite an advancing direction of the variable display of the right decoration symbol 202c. Even if being shifted from a high speed variation to a low speed variation, a player cannot anticipate in which symbol the right decoration symbol 202c is temporarily stationarily displayed.
