<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection face driving part whose dimension of a rotating shaft in a direction is suppressed in an optical scanner. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The deflection face driving part includes: a first scanning part; a second scanning part which freely rotatably holds the first scanning part around an axis parallel to a first direction; and a frame which freely rotatably holds the second scanning part around an axis parallel to a second direction. The first scanning part includes: a deflection face; and a first comb-teeth part composed of comb-teeth projected to the second direction. The second scanning part includes: a second comb-teeth part composed of comb-teeth projected to the second direction and third and fourth comb-teeth parts composed of comb-teeth projected to the first direction. The frame has fifth and sixth comb-teeth parts composed of comb-teeth projected to the first direction. The comb-teeth composing the first comb-teeth part and the comb-teeth composing the second comb-teeth part are arranged alternately, the comb-teeth composing the third comb-teeth part and the comb-teeth composing the fifth comb-teeth part are arranged alternately, and the comb-teeth composing the fourth comb-teeth part and the comb-teeth composing the sixth comb-teeth part are arranged alternately. The first, the third and the fourth comb-teeth parts, and the deflection face are arranged in the first direction, the third comb-teeth part is disposed on the side closer to the deflection face than the first comb-teeth part and the first comb-teeth part is disposed on the side closer to the deflection face than the fourth comb-teeth part.
