<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device capable of suppressing a deterioration in the image quality of a nonvolatile display part by using a time necessary for determining user's operation contents, such as a long depressing operation, and the program thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal device is provided with an inputting part for inputting the display rewriting instruction of the nonvolatile display part which maintains display even when power supply from a power source is interrupted. When an input is made to the inputting part, resetting processing of display contents is first performed, and then, display rewriting processing to the display contents corresponding to an input amount to the inputting part is started when the input to the inputting part is later determined.
